A Reiki session at Flex Yoga will reduce your stress, increase your energy, strengthen your immune system and create a deeper overall sense of peace and well-being. Reiki is a Japanese practice, simple and natural, that improves the flow of life force energy through hands-on bodywork. A Reiki treatment will naturally and gently unbind energy within the body to allow for a smoother and more unified energetic flow. Each treatment is individual since each person will respond uniquely to the treatment based on his or her own body, mind and soul’s need

Thai Yoga Massage (Nuad Boran) is a relaxation massage based on healing principles similar to those of other eastern healing arts. The practitioner focuses on the circulation of energy in major pathways by stimulating and manipulating energy lines called ‘sen’. The client is fully clothed and generally no oils or lotions are used. The body is stretched, pulled, manipulated and rocked to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. Combined with assisted yoga poses and stretching Thai Yoga Massage helps to open joints, stretch muscles and tendons, tone internal organs and balance energy. It helps to achieve deep relaxation, rejuvenation and physical and mental well-being. Thai Yoga Massage incorporates the practices of mindfulness, breath awareness and focused compassion. The result of a full body Thai Yoga Massage treatment can be a powerful mind-body experience.
Swedish Massage is a collection of massage techniques, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, and much more. The practitioner utilizes their knowledge base and assessment of the client to develop a treatment plan for each individual. Swedish Massage is performed on a massage table, the client undressed to their level of comfort, and draped with sheets and blankets. Only the client’s head and the part of the body being worked on is uncovered at any time. Massage lubricants like oils, lotions, and cremes are often used, but not always, and individual preferences are always taken into consideration.
