Take a Class at Flex

There are three great ways to join us for classes at Flex Yoga.

In Studio classes take place at Flex Yoga Wooster at 151 S Market Street. We are located on the second floor and class takes place in our large red room. In studio classes are limited to 15 clients, so be sure to sign up early over at our schedule tab.

Virtual classes are livestreamed directly from the studio, and take place during regular class times. To register for a virtual class, just visit our schedule and make sure you choose the “virtual” option of the class. Visit this page to learn more about how easy it is to join a livestream class using Mindbody. 

On Demand classes can be found in the Flex Yoga on-demand library. These are previously recorded classes that you can take anytime. Many of our livestream classes are added to our library every week. On Demand class access is included with our $100 unlimited monthly pass, or can be added for $30/month. Visit our on-demand library here.

Weekly Classes at Flex

All Levels Vinyasa Flow (Donation Based)

This is a moderately paced class where students will continue to build strength and flexibility through a series of postures. The sequences build from basic to complex, and students are encouraged to modify poses based on their own abilities. Some yoga experience is encourage but not required, and the instructor will give detailed verbal cues to assist you. Always donations based: pay what you can or use your package.

Aerial

This limited-space weekly class will be taught based upon the practitioners in the room. A combination of Aerial 1 and 2 teaching techniques will be sued to make this class suitable for all.

Contact us at info@flexyogastudios.com for private aerial lessons and classes.
Clients will have their own freshly laundered silk, and will not be permitted to change silks during class.

Fitted leggings or yoga pants that cover the backs of your knees, as well as a short or long sleeve top that covers your armpits are recommended. Covering knees and armpits will offer the most comfort in the silks, especially those new to aerial yoga. You may want to wear athletic pants that tie at the waist for security, or leggings under athletic shorts. No shoes, socks, jewelry, or glitter allowed in the silks. Long hair should be pulled back, so it doesn’t get caught in the silk or impair vision while upside down.

Aerial Fit

Aerial Fit utilizes the Aerial Hammocks to build strength, body awareness, and control. Great for first timers to the silks, for those who want to enhance their aerial practice, and for those who want to add depth to their current movement practice.

Barre

Barre class is he study of body positions, awareness, and alignment. In this class, you can expect to work to improve posture and flexibility. You may learn ballet terminology and sequencing. Pilates-style movement will be utilized as you move through each sequence. All levels welcomed and modifications are offered!

Beginning Basics Yoga

The focus of this class is to provide a foundation for Vinyasa Flow classes. You will learn the basics of each pose while building strength and flexibility at a slower and steadier pace. Alignment and breathing are important in this class, and the instructor will provide detailed verbal cues to help you find modifications that work best with your own body. Beginning Basics will prepare you to explore other classes and styles at the studio. Although this class is geared towards beginners, those with experience can also benefit from revisiting the basic principles of yoga flow and breathwork. Flow and Restore

A delicious balanced practice to both uplift you and relax you combining movement and rest. To find and be balanced we need both movement and stillness. Begin with a steady slower nourishing flow, leading to a discovery of rest surrending into a sweet restorative savasana. The perfect way to end your workday on a note of feeling relaxed and aligned. This class is suited for all levels.

Fitness Fusion

Fitness fusion combines yoga and various cardio exercises all set to an upbeat playlist in a fun environment! You’ll see some repetitive moves and songs throughout the weeks, and all levels are welcome! Come join the fun!

Gentle Flow

A gentle class focusing on flowing from pose to pose and linking the movement with the breath. The instructor will offer a variety of modifications to encourage a class suited for all levels. Beginners and experiences practitioners will enjoy this class!

Gentle Yoga for Healing 

This class was created to show how yoga and meditation can be a great supplement to healing the body and spirit – in every way. This class calls out to any individuals who are or who have battled any and all illnesses and their caregivers. This class is for EVERYONE – we can all use a little healing. We will work to build strength that may have been lost due to treatments or surgeries, and learn to still the mind. We will use movement and meditation to guide out healthy routines. You can expect 1/4 meditation and 3/4 gentle flow.

Half-Led Primary Series

Follow Andy through a half-led primary series, the first part of the sequence taught by K. Pattabhi Jois. Led class helps establish proper vinyasa count in an individual’s practice. It also builds bodily and mindful strength through surrender to the teacher’s count and connection to traditional lineage. It is recommended to begin with the Mysore practice before coming to led class, but all are welcome. As with tradition, we will not practice on Moon Days.

Inferno Pilates

Heated Class.

This high intensity, low impact interval training workout will have you sweating and smiling! A HIIT workout done to upbeat, funky, and fun music using Pilates principles and intervals to challenge strength and endurance. Performed on a yoga mat in a heated room, this energizing class is healthy for your joins and seriously strengthens and core and glutes. Most importantly, this class is FUN!

Kids Aerial

Recommended ages: 1st-6th grade, but all kids are welcome!
Kids Aerial is the perfect class for all kids: they will learn to build strength and control in the body and concentration in the mind as they swing and hang in the Aerial silks.

Kids will leave tired and happy – they won’t even realize they have done a workout! This class is also excellent for the young athlete who would like to increase arm and core strength.
All parents are welcome to stay (masked) and those with children under 8 years old are required to be present for the entire class.

Muscle Release

Heated Class.

This class is for anyone with tight muscles looking for that extra stretch and release. We will offer longer holds (along with the heat) to promote a deeper stretch, tension release, muscle recovery, and improve flexibility. This class can be a supplement to any current movement practice or a way to begin a yoga or exercise journey in a slow intentional way. Deep stretching paired with breath work will decrease stress and prepare you for the week ahead as you walk out feeling renewed.

Mysore Ashtanga

The Mysore style of yoga instruction welcomes anyone looking to deepen their practice in body and mind, from beginner to experiences yogi. Students new to the practice will receive more attention, but as one’s familiarity increases, independence increases as the need for assistance decreases. Students receive individual guidance and progress at their own pace, adding new postures as they are ready. Please expect your first practices to be short, but know you and the sequence will grow together. Practice runs for 2.5 hours, but you are not required or expected to be there for the whole time. These flexible hours allow you to show up when is right for you and stay just for the length of your practice. As with tradition, we do not practice on Moon Days.

Power Vinyasa Flow

Heated Class.

The use of heat increases your flexibility allowing you to move through your practice more freely. Heated environments increase your pulse rate and metabolism and coupled with the vinyasa style postures creates an ideal environment for detoxification of the body as well as increased blood flow to the limbs. Be sure to bring lots of water to stay hydrated throughout practice.

Relaxation Yoga

Relaxation Yoga is specifically designed to help students quiet the mind and rejuvenate the body. Class will begin with breathwork as we set ourselves apart from the stressful pace of the day. A gentle flow will then be followed by deep stretches and relaxation poses that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to face the week ahead.

Slow Burn

Heated Class.

This heated 45 minute flow will focus on using static holds to create slow progressive sequences. This will be perfect for those looking for a heated class that builds strength, stability, and internal heat with longer breath cycles rather than faster movements.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is literally translated from Sanskrit to mean “connection.” In terms of yoga asana, or poses, we can interpret this as a connection between movement (asanas) and breath (pranayama). These classes are designed to help each practitioner begin to find a deeper connection to their body and their breath as they begin to build heat in their vinyasa flow and find their own personal edge in each pose.

Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt combines Vinyasa Yoga with weights choreographed to fun, upbeat music. This class provides an opportunity for both the beginner and advanced student to strengthen specific muscles needed to have a strong and safe yoga practice. Yoga Sculpt class will offer you the option to increase or decrease the amount of weight you use. You may even choose to do this class without any weights at all. The incorporation of Savanasa at the closing of class will grant you the opportunity to tune inward; restoring and revitalizing the mind, body, and spirit.
